We recently hit the road for the Moore and More tour featuring Stanton Moore, Charlie Hunter and Skerik. The shows ran up the West Coast and were in support of Stanton's album, 'All Kooked Out!'. The tour was documented and the site was updated daily.

It was a treat to see all of these shows and be able to see the amount of spontaneity that took place every night as well as the amount of chances taken musically by each artist. Besides the recording of 'All Kooked Out!', which was recorded all live and without much rehearsal in the studio, these three guys have not spent a lot of time playing together and since they are all heavily entrenched in their own full-time projects, the music had a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants feel and lead to some amazing jams, some of which can be heard in the clips below. The other thing that was interesting was while watching these guys funk out, it was hard to conjure up another trio lineup (besides maybe Medeski, Martin and Wood, who have more of a jazzy, ethereal feel to their music as opposed to straight-ahead funk) that gets downright funky. In any case, this was truly a special tour for both the musicians and audience alike.

Note: You will need a 56.6 speed modem to stream these clips. People who have modems
slower than 56.6 should download the file to your hardrive to avoid annoying breaks in the song.
