Before Charlie went on the road with Pound for Pound to promote the album Return of the Candyman, he flew down to New Orleans to contribute to an album by Galactic funk drummer, Stanton Moore. Joined by Skerik (Critters Buggin', Tuatara), they recorded for four days straight. These musicians never played with each other before and there was very little discussion regarding arrangements of songs before the session. In short, they jammed!!! This record captures the looseness of the recording session and there are no overdubs. All Kooked Out! is the biggest side project Charlie has done and is a must for any Charlie Hunter fan! Hunter plays on 11 of the 13 tracks.
