'MISTICO'
CD REVIEW

One
of the most creative and underrated voices
in contemporary jazz, guitar man Hunter pares
it back to a trio, takes one of the strings
off his eight string guitar and moves forward
by moving backward. Hunter
has gone back to the unbridled nature he let
run free before he was enlisted to groom mass
market stars ala Crash Davis in "Bull Durham". Left
to his own devices he might not be for everyone,
but there's a lot of ears out there who are glad
he's for them. Dandy, boundary pushing
jazz that contemporary, progressive tastes will
love.
